Terms of use

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Drover, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you use Drover for an organization, you represent that you can bind it. You must be at least 16 and legally able to enter this agreement.

Drover is the native iPhone control surface for coding agents running through compatible Herdr software, distributed through Apple’s App Store. Drover for Mac and droverd for Linux run the standalone per-user Drover host daemon; there is no iPadOS app yet. Drover does not provide a hosted repository, cloud agent runtime, or guaranteed remote terminal.

You are responsible for the host, Herdr installation, agents, repositories, credentials, network, backups, and actions taken through your paired devices. Keep the verified hostname visible and inspect authoritative session state before sending consequential input.

Subject to these terms, Drover grants you a limited, personal or internal-business, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software for its intended purpose during its availability. You may not sell, sublicense, rent, reverse engineer except where law permits, bypass entitlement or security controls, or use Drover to violate rights or law.

Access may be limited, changed, suspended, or ended. The software may contain defects, lose local data, or be incompatible with later versions. Keep independent backups and do not rely on Drover as your only route to a host or agent.

You must not use Drover to access a machine, repository, account, or agent without authorization; distribute malware; disrupt services; probe other users or infrastructure; evade rate or entitlement controls; expose secrets through support; or cause Drover to execute illegal or harmful activity.

Do not treat a notification, cached screen, or ambiguous terminal line as proof that an action is safe. If connection or delivery is uncertain, return to authoritative host state before repeating a command.

Drover is a free download and free on one paired host. On that host, pairing, Workspaces, Terminal, Inbox, approvals, attachments, usage, and both LAN and relay connectivity all work without a subscription — the route is never priced. Drover Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly, or annual; US prices $3.99 / $9.99 / $79.99, local prices in the App Store, no free trial) that adds every host beyond the first, push notifications, and the Live Activity — the last two apply even on your first host. Whenever Drover Pro is not active and more than one host is paired, the earliest-paired host stays usable and the others are locked until Pro is active again; nothing is unpaired or deleted.

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple, automatically renew unless cancelled through your Apple account at least as required by Apple, and are governed by the terms shown in the purchase flow. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and eligible refunds.

These terms supplement Apple’s applicable licensed-application terms. Mandatory App Store terms control where they cannot be varied.

Drover depends on services or software including Herdr, Apple’s App Store and APNs, Cloudflare, RevenueCat, and Google Sheets for product and launch updates. Their availability and separate terms may affect Drover. Herdr and other open-source components remain governed by their own licenses. Drover does not control third-party outages or policy changes.

You retain rights in your repositories, prompts, terminal content, and other materials. You authorize Drover to process them only as needed to provide the paired control session. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for that content.

If you voluntarily provide product feedback, you grant Drover a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use it without obligation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.

Drover, its software, selected app icon, site design, documentation, and related marks are owned by Drover or its licensors, excluding your content and separately licensed third-party components. No rights are granted except the limited license above.

We may change, pause, or discontinue features for security, compatibility, legal, operational, or product reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted remote connectivity, support for every network, or permanent compatibility with every Herdr version or agent adapter.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drover is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Drover can transmit commands capable of changing files and processes. You remain responsible for review, access control, backups, and recovery.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drover will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption; or unauthorized actions caused by your device, host, credentials, agents, or third-party services. Drover’s total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Drover through the App Store during the 12 months before the claim or USD 50.

These exclusions do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot lawfully be limited or mandatory consumer rights.

You may stop using Drover and cancel a subscription through Apple. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, abuse, security risk, legal requirement, or discontinuation. Provisions that by nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—continue after termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Istanbul have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer protections and venues in your country remain available where law requires them.

We may update these terms as Drover evolves. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through the app or product updates. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law.
